Also honored at the awards ceremony was Larry
Chandler, who was named Warden of the Year.
Ann Mullins was named Probation & Parole
Supervisor of the Year for the Department. Mullins, a 25-year veteran of the
Department and the Division of Probation and Parole, worked her way up through
the ranks starting first as a clerk in the Whitesburg office. She was promoted
to District 11 Supervisor in August 2003.
A new award, “Rookie of the Year” is presented to an
individual who has demonstrated outstanding job performance in the 12 months or
less since becoming a DOC employee. Hong Lin, a Network Analyst III in the
Central Office Information Technology Branch, received the award.
And the top awards, “Commissioner’s Awards,” were
presented to: Deputy Warden Nancy Doom, Kentucky State Penitentiary; Sgt. Bruce
Mason, Bell County Forestry Camp; Randy White, Unit Administrator, Kentucky
Correctional Institution for Women; and Timothy Carmon, Assistant Supervisor,
